Dante & the Mirrors is the musical collaboration of songwriter Jason Lerman and music director Jackson Wargo.  Lerman’s songs are regularly compared to artists such as Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, and Wargo’s production style is as informed by Brian Wilson as it is by Kevin Shields. 

Their Congressionally Recognized sophomore LP Everybody Bring Your Troubles was released on Doughnut Records on February 17th, 2023.  Drawing inspiration from areas as diverse as The Divine Comedy and The Book of Job to football and the moon, the lyrics on EBYT seek to explore the dynamics of the human condition and serve as an invitation for all people to experience its joys and sufferings together.  Demanding over three years to complete, EBYT was recorded live at Studio Red (Burbank, CA) by Adam Lasus and produced by Wargo between 2019 and 2022.   Along with Lerman & Wargo, the album features performances by guitarist Andrew Shewell, organist Dan Reckard, and finally Jason’s brother, guitarist Ryan Lerman.

At its genesis in 2015, the band was based in Seattle, WA before relocating to Long Beach, CA in 2018.  Their first releases where covers on compilations released by Practice Room Records. In 2016, the band independently released their debut album Where They Go co-produced by Wargo and musician/filmmaker Tyler Taormina which was supported by a tour of the west coast of the US and Canada.  In 2018, they contributed a cover song for a Cloud tribute album called The Desperation Club (released on Audio Antihero, 2018).  In 2019, Dante & the Mirrors performed at Resident (Los Angeles, CA) with Neil Hamburger.  And in February 2020, they held an artistic residency at Vine (Long Beach, CA).
